MY COMMENT:
"The perennial MVP candidate"
This is the kind of commentaries that I read in the sport press when they refer to Mike Trout. The 19-years old outfielder irrumped in MLB like a meteor (because he is the Millville Meteor, do you get it?), crushing a lot of offensive records of both, AL and Angels franchise. He was able to do that, because he posses a dangerous combination of speed and power (Yes, even with his bulky frame he has more than 80% of success rate when steal bases).
If Trout continues having the kind of seasons that has having until now, he would be easily breaking more records, and even could reach the 500-HR mark before his 20th season.
By the way, he adopted his nickname after a prankster edited his Wikipedia article. Crazy, right?
